Non-equilibrium Phenomena in Nanostructured Materials

Our research aims at explaining and controlling the dynamics of molecules in nanostructures and at gas-metal interfaces. The applications range from photocatalysis to scanning tunneling microscopy and molecular electronics. We follow a bottom-up approach based on systematically improvable wave function methods to provide an atomistic description of energy exchange and its effect on the dynamics of large quantum systems.
